Hebrews 12:28-29

28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire.

Dear Awe-Inspiring God-

The very first word that comes to mind when thinking of you Lord, is GRATEFUL. I sense deep down in my spirit an unrelenting all consuming thirst for your love and mercy.

I sense your presence and how you always seem to chase me down.

You pursue me and you seek me out. You chase me down and speak words of encouragement and wisdom and clarity. You are such a glorious God who reigns in power and might.

Your reach is so far, so deep. You let me know everyday that I can't escape you, and that I can't hide from you. You Lord, are a redeemer. You redeem me when I'm lost and you make me found.

Lord I feel your presence as you chase me down. You convince me day after day that your love is so strong. That your love is FIERCE. It never runs out or dries up. Your love never stops it's pursuit of me. You chase me down. You are indeed an all consuming fire. You chase me down and I can see you there on Calvary's hill bleeding on The Cross. You are bleeding for me and my sin. Even despite of my sins, You chase me down over and over again. Even when I try, I can't outrun you. You chase me down. YOUR LOVE IS FIERCE.

Like a tidal wave, crashing over me,

rushing in to meet me here,

Like a hurricane,

that I can't escape,

tearing through the atmosphere,

Thank You God For Chasing Me Down-

Yes amen. This was great to read, thank you for posting this. It's unfathomable that God chases us down. What a Lion! What a Soldier! What a Mighty Mighty God! The song is great also! I am grateful as well. Our church service last weekend spoke of a river of fire of love that comes from God’s throne.. You're confirming this fierce, fiery love. Glory to God!
