Though You Slay Me

Philippians 3:10

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, becoming conformed unto His death;

Dear Father-
Lord we praise You today. We praise You in the good days and the bad ones. We have great affection for You Father and we thank You for all things.

In all things, we give You the Glory and Honor.

Lord we know that in this world we live in, surely we will face many trials. Still Lord, we will praise You.

A thousand times Lord we have failed You. We have fallen short of Your plan for us. We know Lord that Your reckless pursuit of us is never ending. It never leaves, dries up, or withers away. Your pursuit of us is like a rainstorm that cultivates the earth. It pours out and grows the grass in all the land.

Despite our sin, You bring us in and You from the very start paint Your Glory all across the planets and galaxies.

You Lord are molding us each and everyday. You are bringing us up from the ashes. You are bringing us up from the valleys that we cross.

Lord we often ask ourselves why we have to suffer and go through bad things. When we get sick, or someone we love dies, or when we struggle with learning painful lessons.

Lord You teach us in Your Word that our suffering and affliction in this world is temporary and it is bringing us an eternal Glory.

2 Corinthians 4:17

“For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory”

We accept this eternal weight of glory from You Lord.

You know us so well Lord. Today, we seek to find You more and more as we walk step by step with You.
