Luke 15:3-7
3 Then Jesus told them this parable:4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Dear Almighty God-
Your love and pursuit of us is RECKLESS. It’s totally and completely out of control with the Passion of Your awe and splendor.
Your love is unselfish, untamable, it’s always forgiving 70×7 (Matthew 18:21-22); it keeps no record of our sins, it’s encouraging, relentless, and never-ending. Your love for us never wilts, never dries up, and never, ever fails.
Your Love is so Reckless for us. Everyday and every moment we breath and when we exalt Your Name above All Names.
Your love for us has a pursuit of reckless abandon in that You won’t stop drawing us closer and nearer to Your presence.
You seek to find us in the shadows we hide under, in the valleys when our faith quivers, and when we get lost and lose sight of the Glory Your overwhelming and Reckless Love that’s beckons our hearts.
Your Reckless Love is purposefully driven by the supreme fact that You seek after us. You seek after us with a love that knows no boundaries or borders. It’s seeks to find and finds us where we are.
The ultimate proof of Your Reckless Love was Your victory won on the Cross. You did not stop short of Calvary’s Hill. You met it head on as our destined eternal life in heaven and our life here on earth would bring forth new meaning, purpose, and reason.
You are a God who leaves the 99 every time to chase down the lost. You search and You find us. All with Your Reckless Love. Your heart searches and chases after even the furthest heart. All with Your Reckless Love.
There has never been a God like You who Recklessly calms the storms with Your mighty right hand, who tells demons to flee, and who gives sight to the blind.
Lastly Father, we thank you, for even on our worst day… You call us… Beloved.
Such is
The RECKLESS LOVE
OF GOD.
