Look To The Son

Colossians 1:15-20 The Message (MSG)

We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, He organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body.

He was supreme in the beginning and—leading the resurrection parade—He is supreme in the end. From beginning to end He’s there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is He, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in Him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of His death, His blood that poured down from The Cross.
Fairest Lord Jesus-

Today we see Your radiance painted across the sky and Your awesome Glory and wonder. For it was You that created us and all things deep and wide. You made the animals and the very atoms in the atmosphere.

As we Look To The Son-
We see an original author and the very maker of the heavens and the earth. You stand alone and can’t be overpowered.

As we Look To The Son-
We see the Son of God and the Son of man with Holy hands. Hands that reached out to us when we were dead in our sins. Hands that were pierced and nailed to an Old Rugged Cross.

As we Look To The Son-
We see The King of All Glory who unevenly traded His crown for one of thorns. We see the thorns that pierced His brow and the Blood that paid the penalty for my sin.

As we Look To The Son-
We see eternal life that is granted to us when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. We see the streets of gold and the face of a God who never turns His back on us. A God who never gives us a busy signal, but rather speaks encouragement and wisdom and grace.

As we Look To The Son-
We see that:
>He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the Word of His power. (Hebrews1:3).

Will You Look To The Son today?

Beyond the skies above
Love reaching out for us
The Everlasting One
Jesus our God
Oh we look to the Son
Set our eyes on our Saviour
See the image of love
Sing His praises forever
Oh we look to the Son
Oh we look to the Son, yeah
