28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
We saw this past week how your love broke through the stone that tried to keep you away from us. You broke through and your love and power conquered the grave. We stand mesmerized at the miracle of the Cross. We stand in awe of your nail scarred hands and feet. We stand amazed at the beauty of Calvary in it's awe and splendor as you said "It is Finished". You Father had the last word and you continue to have the last word as you reign over the heavens and the earth. Jesus, you did the will of the Father. You accomplished the goal. You died in our place to give us eternity. The greatest day in history was when you arose from that grave. When you spoke that last word, it was only the beginning of our relationship with you. Lord, You are kind. One of a kind. You overcame all adversity and you are victorious. We stand in victory with you.
You spoke the Last Word.. It is Finished.. You spoke the Last Word.. It is Finished… My fears are silenced in your Love. My Hope is Endless…
