“Why should I choose Jesus instead of my Hindu gods?” the young man asked. The team of evangelists was thrilled to have the opportunity of answering that question. They had been trekking from village to village for days, talking to people and praying for them while handing out Bibles. After they joyfully explained the gospel to the young man, he became troubled at the realization that all of his Hindu gods were created by human minds. “I will study this Bible,” he told the team. “If this is the truth I need to know.”
These evangelists in Nepal are just a few of the many front line workers who are supported by The Voice of the Martyrs, sharing the gospel in the world’s most difficult places. In addition to sharing Christ in overwhelmingly Hindu area, evangelism teams also work in Muslim and Buddhist regions, where they have seen God change the hearts of people very opposed to the gospel. The Voice of the Martyrs is committed to providing a Bible to every Christian who needs one – including brand new believers – in hostile and restricted nations.
PRAY for these front line workers to get the Word of God to every hungry soul, living in nations that forbid or restrict freedom of Christianity.
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.” – Matthew 24:14
